LAUREN: Let's just get this out in the open- What is the craziest thing that has happened to you in your music career?
KHARYSMA ARAFAT NZABA: the craziest thing that happened to me in my musical career was my first big check from my record label Groupe Business Th'rapie, which was an amount with 4 zero in euros.

LAUREN: Your song 'Des Rimes En Or (I'm Back)' is receiving a positive listener response on radio. What was your initial reaction when you first heard your song playing on radio?
KHARYSMA ARAFAT NZABA: in fact, I already had a title ranked number 1 for 8 months in internet radio in 2008 and several radio broadcasts in France, the usa and belgium. But, getting my music played all around the world simultaneously made me happy and probably made me think of a future big check with 5 zero this time.

LAUREN: What was the inspiration behind your radio single?
KHARYSMA ARAFAT NZABA: In fact, this is an entire album entitled: Des rimes en or (I'm Back) and it's available on itunes and on all legal download platforms including http://www.r-b-a.fr But in radio, this is presented as a single, maybe because I won an Akademia music award with it as an EP. The story behind all this is simply that I wanted to mark a return to music that should not go unnoticed, after my first music album call: Inattendu, that was released in 2012, and after my featuring with American artist Rick Ross in the title titled: Why do not we fall in love, whose video is available on youtube and the audio was ranked in the top of the itunes podcast usa at its release in November 2018, the details are on my facebook page. The inspiration of the title: Des rimes en or (I'm Back) is that I wanted to make an international song, in English and French at the same time, which speaks of feast and love. This is the story of a man who asks his girlfriend in marriage, another who comes back from travel and want to enjoy what life will offer him, and also a return to the musical news with a new sound that makes you dance. The video on youtube has already exceeded 100,000 views and is even on mtv france.

LAUREN: It is often said that great art arises from difficult experience. Is there something in your life experience thus far that you would describe as the 'catalyst' or 'fuel' for your desire to create music?
KHARYSMA ARAFAT NZABA: The fact of wanting to make a living with my music, that music can nourish myself and realize my projects, that was my fuel from the beginning and that allowed me to join the most serious righnt performance organization in the world ... And then I admit that I had a lot of music in my head that only wanted to be listened to and bought.

LAUREN: How would you characterize yourself as an artist/musician?
KHARYSMA ARAFAT NZABA: Already my artist name kharYsma is written with a capital Y ... In the musical album: best of kharYsma 2006-2015,if you see the cover, the capital Y has been replaced by a glass of champagne. My artist name alone is a brand, an art, or other brands of advertising or companies can contact me to put their products in the place of capital Y for a period determined in advance, on contract. Then there are people who imitate my name Arafat, but do not know that it is in my birth certificate, it is often confusing, but there is only one: kharYsma Arafat NZABA. Since I live in Congo Brazzaville and have traveled a lot in Europe, I have had another vision of my musical career, so I consider myself an international artist .... I realize rarely concerts because I am a record artist, only scene, whatever if I get this opportunity to play my music live as an independent artist, I will reflect. I also have another working outside of the music that lasts a lot of time, I was still on the school bench where I finished with an MBA in finance in the UK and a certificate of legal contract of the harvard extension school; but I feel more comfortable when I speak French
